's last sunset ...

The day was sunny and hot the hottest summer in the city view from there ten years for sure. The sunshine 'horizon, softly colored in red the distant sea, corrupting even the heavens that it was now a pale orange. The clouds stood motionless, waiting to be hidden from 'darkness that was lurking, ready to replace the sun, in the task to distinguish between day and night, waking from sleep. At that time, however, this did not matter: everything was in harmony contrast, at that time the dark and light coexist in an 'alliance of light and shadow reflected on the earth, changing reflections and making the most perfect place imaginable.

This was the sunset, the old man who lived on the hill that overlooked the city was magnificent.

now elderly hermit who was left with faster and faster, approaching the greatest adventure, one that now most ardently wished, the 'beginning of an' other life, probably, a big change, however, that it did awaken from the life that now she had lived for too long. The 'hermit had always wanted to die at a time like that, where there might be afraid of anything, let alone something that could have happened sooner or later. He had to wait too long, the 'beginning of the time.

Moreover it would be like when you said the pale moon and reached the realm of sleep, from which he would be awakened on that occasion.

That moment never much anticipated and feared, had finally arrived, and the old man had lasted a little longer ', so you can see for a' last time that fantastic view.

many other great sunsets would see again after that time? Might as well enjoy its sunset until the last and he was sure it was just his life because of those who are servants of the time and going on without a definite destination hasten the succession of days and years, could not stop a moment to observe everything that happened. The men-slaves, which accelerate both the time and that both were afraid of what would have happened eventually. But he was not the case, he lived on those moments. That would be his last meal and would be the most fascinating of all the others. A meal filled with emotions which there was only aware of him ...

And those emotions were his bread, the emotions that should direct the existence of all men, youth and old age that would negate the world and that those, like the old man had colored the sunset ...

Wrap Heart Shaped Box

The historical period and changes between 800 and 900

My grandfather was born in Cinquefrondi in province of Reggio Calabria on December 31, 1869.
Between the late 1800s and early 1900s, began [A Cinquefrondi] the construction of large public works: the imposing complex of the elementary school "Francesco Della Scala" to the Hall of Public Offices, the District Court directed the town, now home to the Municipal Gallery, the Judicial Prison, the sports field to the railway line Cinquefrondi that still connects with the other countries of the plain, from the Town Park to the great works for incalanamento of underground water courses and the renewal of the old sewer system, until the entire construction of new roads, such as Memorial Avenue and Via Regina Elena.
Cinquefrondi gave birth to important public figures who have admirably distinct in different fields of human knowledge. Among these must surely remember, in the religious field: One by Nicholas Cinquefrondi, lay dead in 1570 in the odor of sanctity, Fra Giovanni da Cinquefrondi, Jesuit Salvatore Verrone, an expert on volcanology and author of a History of Mount Vesuvius in 1631, the theologian and religious Bernardo Condo, the theologian and philosopher Francesco Saverio Panetta, author of a collection of sermons and eulogies on "The mystical montage" (1859), Archpriest Francesco Maria Ascone. In the field of music should be mentioned, among others: D. Filippo Zerbi, the chaplain Luigi Ferrari and Master Charles Creazzo. Among the class of doctors: the luminary Vincent Mammola. Among the political figures: Luigi dei Marchesi Aiossa, minister during the reign of Ferdinand II of Bourbon and the mayor Francesco Della Scala. Among the brave soldiers Francesco Pepe. Among the class of writers: the Latin D. Giacomo Ferrari, a Jesuit, and the poet and historian Pasquale Creazzo.

Among the public officials include Francesco della Scala, .... that was one of the few in the province to take steps to make getting to your country all the measures of special favors provided by law for the places affected by earthquake in 1908. The country, thanks to him, has been enriched by various public buildings: the building school that bears his name, the town hall, municipal gardens, the nursery school, the police station (now the Community of Montana), the district court (now the home of Media City), the Fascist tower with the clock, the 'enlargement of the cemetery and many were the works of construction of roads and aqueducts and sewers.

What Is Cervical Mucus Like Just Before A Period?

In Memory of Francesco della Scala Comm

given in full as written in the book entitled

In memory of
Comm FRANCIS SCALE

RECALLING THE FRANCIS SCALE

You fallen - in effect the years - in the breach, as it's meant to fall a fighter race.
Because this man - whose life was a mission of love, sacrifice, sacred orifice for his homeland - this hardening of the real fighter in over 40 years of public life knew no stasis, not met rest, knew no defeats - even in the political battle now, now in administration, also for the regeneration and ascension construction, hygiene, morale of his native town and its mandate.
I think it is a unique case, rather than rare, the public life of Francesco Della Scala - life, that is, a man so closely and inextricably linked to the life of their own land - as the year of our life is tied to that of its Cinquefrondi - I think it's more than rare case that a single man - in more than 40 years of struggle and strife! - Does not know the shame or the disappointment of a defeat, but always the joy and the pride of victory.
Why Francesco Della Scala, 22 years in elected Councillor of his Cinquefrondi to leave the seat as a public administrator when death strikes him - after he had climbed the ladder of administrative life: Alderman Hall, Provincial Councillor, Deputy Provincial, first Mayor of Cinquefrondi.
And not only covered the stages, but held the positions wins-you to struggle through in our province who were famous.
Municipal Councillor delegate since 1895 - (could not hold the position of mayor for the then existing legal incompatibility between this office and a Deputy Provincial) ceases to hold office with abolition of municipal councils, to rise But the Mayor's seat, Deputy Provincial Director Provincial and afterwards, continue to hold office until the Fascist government does not abolish this administration by creating the Provincial Rector.
But the charges do not count in a man's life when they are just mere shine when they serve only to titillate personal vanity! - If, conversely, you agree to selflessness, not selfishness, if a charge does not constitute an honor - if you use a good bed with not a single good - if you win you over with a high civic ideal not for personal gain - then they count more than in the individual life, are an integral part of life itself - are all life.
How
was just the life of Francesco Della Scala!
In eletoralistico turbulent period that goes from 1891 to 1922 - turbulent period in which the municipalities of our Calabria - willingly or not - they ran the 'randomness' s results of anti-lytic bit - in that turbulent period, many of we remember to have lived more than a spectator of actors - only one man, Francis Della Scala, and with him the party of local government that he was headed
............ ................... did not change her appearance,
nor moved his neck, nor bent his side,

won the victory or political candidate who supported it.

Where to put the secret of that power? The fascination exerted on the man who lived his life and those who approached him for days or even both for a few seconds - in its multifarious activities and tireless public administrator for the benefit of the right-angle and the community.
He had an irresistible charm. Rugged, handsome per-person, the profile of energy, deep searching look, the 'ever-present cigarette between his lips, his hands in his pockets - his posing routine - it was all for friends to help or encourage them - in the various contingency ; needs - sad or happy in their lives - you save labor, knew no obstacles, it is not allowed to rest.

asked, begged, commanded, begged - and never asked for, fine, commanded, pleaded for herself! - And get, and how! -All because they had the intimate, the firm conviction of his unlimited power.

Intima, tenacious belief that became the granite during the election campaign until the day of the vote, and raised cries of enthusiasm when the ballot boxes, invariably, consecrated the resounding victory of his party, which after all was only his personal victory .

to be seen, during the period of major combat, then it must be his opposite: quiet, calm and smiling - the absolute certainty of victory you could see in his eyes and face ...
I remember a terrible, violent struggle administration of the immediate pre-war - which followed an equally huge and violent political struggle in which the candidate supported by the end of the scale had been unsuccessful - the first fight that was faced by universal suffrage. All the conflicting parties and more conflicting factions in the town of Cinquefrondi all of the district and had joined forces against Della Scala. - The meetings followed one another at meetings, demonstrations demonstrations. It seemed huge wave of reaction is raised to flood even more than the party, man 's man who dominated decades unshakable - well tetragon the blows of chance ... -

Almost unanimous was the certainty that our would inevitably be defeated. Even those closest to the side who were more anxiously that they were certain of defeat. Yet they fought, and lions, supported by confidence in the head, encouraged by his example. Because he had the certainty of victory - and the serenity of his face and his mind exercised a fascination that will not allow that to him as they experience the slightest doubt that it could, albeit slightly tarnish that certainty. -

Saturday night - the day before the vote - the one, with a group of his most faithful, I went out of his palace. Cinquefrondi watched: the streets squares and groups of people in the vast majority opponents, much to occur completes the suggestion that the fight was lost for our friend.

Far from his eyes and his words - out of - so full of fight in that environment - the doubt rigermogliò our soul, was almost certain. We looked at silent and dismayed. And one of us - the closest to him and among his most influential - he murmured as if talking to himself: "It's du-ra ... I fear that Don Ciccio is wrong ... It would be the first time ... Ma .. "
shaking his head, shook hands and we parted ....
That night we passed sleepless. -

Sunday a huge battle on the line. At 23.30 the polls had given their verdict: Francesco Della Scala itself, with overwhelming majority, the two seats in the Provincial Council - and the posts of majority and minority on the City Council Cinquefrondi.

No it was a defeat for opponents, but final annihilation. The following Monday

Cinquefrondi resumed its normal rhythm of life, and its streets and the squares Francesco Della Scala inevitable cigarette between his lips, his hands in his pockets - walked serene, smiling as if it 's terrible struggle few hours earlier, he was not the main actor, the leader, but as an indifferent spectator. - And resume normal life public administrator, not a hundredfold more concerned that his fruitful activity for the benefit of his country.

always the case. It seemed to be saying (in the words of Marcus Aure-lio): "I look forward to my duty. The other objects do not distract me "

His task was the love of his hometown ...

Because, as well Bettino Ricasoli wrote: "The devotion to the homeland is not an affect, but it is something higher, more as-solute ... is a must! 'And this duty

Francesco Della Scala felt in the highest degree just as a logical consequence of his boundless affection and psychological-to towards its Cinquefrondi.

Oh, the power of this love! which was not capable of miracles! Forty years of struggle, sacrifice, triumph - granted without rest or respite.
In his life he did not, we can say with consciousness, other mission than that of the recovery, processing, re-generation of his hometown.

was a village and made a charming little town in all-you expect - admired and envied by the whole province. There was no law-making and in favor of our Calabria that he has not exploited, there was no provision to which he has drawn for the benefit of his country. Always first in everything. While

completed a public building another began - and ended to repair a street, he opened another - and a square was transformed into a villa once stood. From city hall to the school building - from housing kindergarten - the offices of the district court to remand prison - from sewage to 'new avenues to the aqueduct-beds, etc. ... It is all down to his fruitful activities Kabyle Instan-Citizen and Public Admin. And you can probably forget the struggles for decades and decades because a railway line would embrace the countries of our flat from Gioia Tauro to Cinquefrondi?

The consolidation, processing, landscaping, regeneration Cinquefrondi is inextricably linked to the life of Francesco Della Scala - and the last days, just the last days of life-the death of this man if they were not the crown, the crown-chin worth a noble existence of all expenditure pro 'of his Madina city. Why undermined, curved from the evil that had cut off the still young life - first to enter a surgical clinic in Rome from which it was not fatally out of body - he became accompany, support for dragging in the classrooms of various ministries to obtain, how it got, the 'last great loan for the new aqueduct that will animate the new fountains of his Cinquefrondi. And from

bed of pain and death he dictated a telegram (1) that Annunziata to his countrymen the new 'victory that crowned his ul-thyme act of faith and love for the land and from there a few days I would get cold corpse ! -

(1) Here's the telegram: Vice Mayor - Cinquefrondi - Delighted joint-care financing today's new waterworks project that I work more than one million-appalterà Ministry immediately. Please accept my country's last free-minds telegraphing thanked Comm Romano - Greetings.
Scale

L 'istessa fertile and tireless work he brought in' Administra-tive of the Province during the many decades in which he filled the position of Director and Deputy Provincial Provincial. And the late presi-dent of the Provincial Deputation, Pasquale Barone Reytan, and had this much confidence in him, kept him in that behalf and so to entrust to the most delicate and difficult tasks. - And in several provincial congresses, in Turin, as in Palermo - Milan as Roma - Francesco Della Scala was the officer responsible for our province.

But who can follow step by step the public life of Francesco Della Scala? - Improbable and difficult undertaking even try.

It is certain that for more than eight decades, this man was an example and a warning not only to administrators of the municipalities of our ex-ing around, but even those of the entire region.
And not just in government and administration of public affairs, but still in relation to events or happy or sad of his nationality or the nation he was always at the forefront - most noble example of al-truism, self-denial and sacrifice.

The earthquake of 1908 finds him in the breach to hearten, to AIU-tion, to save, first among the first, risking their lives, so that a bronze medal honors his noble effort.
Vajol an epidemic breaks out - and he is always in line for solar-the epidemic, to defeat it - and when he fears that his efforts may be in vain healthy, encouraging his help in a section of the praiseworthy Red Cross - and the evil is eradicated immediately. When the English

rampant claiming victims - he is always around, active and restless, to the slums and houses, to help to built - and why the poor can have immediate help and profi-CuO, establishes, among 's more, a chemist at the expense of the municipality.

And when in 1917 - the disaster of Kobarid - refugees are rampant in our districts to escape the cruelty of the invaders, Cinquefrondi - at the behest of Scale - is among the first towns in our province that welcomes with open arms the brothers unfortunate - and rivelantissimo number compared with other common - When you open them, with the houses, hearts of its inhabitants.

Francesco Della Scala! - A name that rings in this powerful ul-thyme half-century history of civil Cinquefrondi - a name that is engraved in letters of 'gold on all public buildings on all streets, all the squares of Cinquefrondi.
was fought Francesco Della Scala - as it is who is human life - all life - is a mission of fighting - but it was never won.
was opposed, was hampered on the road that ran with the gaze fixed-do the one goal: increasing the elevation of his country, but the adversity, the barriers he shattered without deviating, affrontan-doli! - It was envied and was admired - he was hated but he was adored.

and the struggle and triumph - and the envy and admiration, and the hatred and the love he, firmly, a high forehead, clear eyes, his face lit by a smile - always stood firm as a tower

that does not collapse

ever to top the blowing wind.

And so we will see it forever - through the eyes of the soul - the memory that will never velero if it is true - as it is quite true - that the gratitude and love are all 'nothing but empty shams.

So his fellow citizens and their descendants the most distant and Vedran-no in the present and in the 'future - because Cinquefrondi today-so new, so charming, so regenerated - that was not cleared by the force, graced by a smile, shaped by 'love of the unforgettable his son Francesco Della Scala ...

Letter to the Marquis of Gabriele d'Annunzio Arturo della Scala

This sonnet, composed of Gabriele d'Annunzio, has written to my uncle, Arthur, son of Francis, who lived for a long time Nettuno (Roma).
"your brother the sad and irksome" that the announcement of mention is my father.
The two brothers, in fact, had a different way of conceiving life.
My father who devoted himself to work as a journalist and lawyer, is then depicted as "sad and unwelcome" because this way of life is seen by the poet as too serious and committed.
The three had all been students of the first announcement and the two brothers of the scale then, the National Cicognini boarding school in Prato.

d'Annunzio then Uncle Arthur attended during the poet's stay in Neptune.

The boarding Cicognini

Phase Jesuit

The College was founded by the Society of Jesus, better known as the Jesuits, on the sites of the ancient Abbey of Grignano and designed with architect Giovan Battista Origoni The lobby and the entrance were built by the architect Giuseppe Valentini Prato. Inside are worthy of note is the refectory (painted by Giacinto Fabbroni in 1754 with scenes from the Bible), the eighteenth-century chapel (with interesting wooden furniture) and theater (the first church boarding school, combined current use during period of secularization of the institution: its frescoes were redone during the Fascist period) The foundation was made possible by a substantial bequest to which the priest had helped F. Fazzi, Noble L. Niccolai and especially the Canon F. Storks, which is precisely tied the name of the boarding school. Between 1692 and 1715, the College-Seminary was active in nine homes in the square Mercatale because the slow work of the local Cicognini were not usable. However in 1715 the Jesuits moved once and for all activities of the College to its present site, although work has not yet been completed, which in reality lasted well into the eighteenth century. In 1737 the Grand Duke died Gian Gastone died out with him and the Medicis. The Peace of Vienna (1738) ended the War of Polish Succession and Francis Stephen of Lorraine, husband of Maria Theresa of Austria won the Grand Ducal Crown of Tuscany. The new Grand Duke was in Florence on May 30, 1739 and remained there for only three months. The responsibilities of government were entrusted in the hands of the prime ministers including the Rucellai, who administered on behalf of the Hapsburg very effectively. On the death of Franz Stephan came to the throne in 1765 Grand Duke Peter Leopold, son of that Francis Stephen and Maria Theresa, he began with those great reforms which put the small Tuscany, at least in some areas, leading in Europe. In 1773 Pope Clement XIV abolished the Society of Jesus with the encyclical Dominus ac Redemptor noster, and the Duke placed the college under its protection, which became known as Imperial College and Royal.

Imperial College and Royal Dynasty 1773-1862
Lorraine gave great impetus to the activities of the College, came out here because most of the leaders of the Grand Duchy. Leopold maintained by the secular priests, as a result of suppression of the Society of Jesus, which is occupied, and the administration, the organization of studies. The government gave it to the Board of the Grand Ducal Badia the bag to make the summer residence of the college.
The French occupation (1799-1812)
During the campaigns of Napoleon in Italy, French troops occupied Tuscany in 1799 during March. On this occasion some of the classrooms Cicognini were used as warehouses and military emblems and symbols Grand Ducal removed. During the Napoleonic era, there were no significant changes. However in 1812 it was made compulsory the use of French in the administration and teaching in accounting didattica.Dopo the final fall of Napoleon (1814), Pius VII restored the Society of Jesus which he tried to regain ownership of all institutions and property held by it before the removal, often by adopting methods more or less legitimate (1813-15). The premature death of Chancellor Nicholas Bertini, suspected of poisoning, was linked to attempts by the Jesuit to set foot in the Institute, but the attempt proved quite vano.I secular priests continued to administer the College 1859.Con until the Second War of Independence (1859) the Kingdom of Sardinia, through an alliance with France defeated Austria and Tuscany with a plebiscite (12-13 May 1860) joined the Piedmont and other northern Italian regions, making way for the unification of Italy. The Grand Duke Leopold II was forced into exile.

Royal College 1862-1882
With a royal decree of 23 \\ 10 \\ 1862, renamed the Royal College boarding school and from that date he was appointed Rector Giuseppe Merzario, which reformed the teaching and administrative the College, and inserted it into the national school. During his rector was a boarder Gabriele D'Annunzio.

1882-1950 Royal National Boarding
The mutation in national boarding school with a Royal Decree of 29 \\ 7 \\ 1882 did not modify the administrative and educational, conferred on the Unification of Italy. In this period was completed on completion of the building, but continued to undergo changes until the first half of 1900. The Second World War

In December 1943 some of the school premises were occupied by German troops. On March 7, 1944 to secure the boarding school was moved to Florence, host of the brothers Barnabas in their head to the Oaks. The Germans occupied the college until April 14, 1944. During the war, the college underwent several times of the bombings, what was particularly serious in July 1944: a lot of shrapnel had hit the building causing the broken glass and damaging the various parts, especially the local infirmary had been completely gutted. After release of Prato, which occurred in September of that year, the hostel was fully occupied by the Allied officers and soldiers. The seizure of the school by the Allied troops only ended June 17, 1945. Since then the college began to resume its normal activities.

Cicognini National Boarding School, since 1950
After the proclamation of the republic in the referendum of 2 \\ 06 \\ 1946 and in 1950 assumed the title of national boarding school that also houses at present.

Until ' Unification of Italy, the direction was given to local clergy, which also belonged to the majority of teachers. Special emphasis was the teaching of Atto Vannucci, who remained until the Cicognini 1848. Subsequently, the government led by Urbano Rattazzi appointed rector in 1862 Bobone Jerome, instead of the priest John Pierallini.
In October of that year, the office passed to Joseph Merzario , intellectual, educator, patriot and politician with progressive ideas. The political and social conservative bloc, which find its strengths in some members of clericalism and the cultural world of Catholic Florentine ( Cesare Guasti, Nicholas Tommaseo ), is openly opposed to the work of Merzario, until they resigned controversially resigned. In the years 1875
- 1881, when he was chancellor and dean Flaminio Del Sepia, was a boarder Gabriele D'Annunzio, who showed particular appreciation for the ex-partisan Zucconi Tito, his teacher of English literature . In 1882
Cicognini became the state. In his leadership the ministry gave the scholar and educator Ulysses Poggi, who boasted after quarantotteschi patriotic. Despite tensions with some teachers and students, Poggi remained in office until retirement in 1889 . A successor was the Latin Angelo Tosi, who remained in office until the summer of 1899 in time to organize celebrations for the bicentenary of the institute, which was inaugurated on the occasion of a bust of Umberto I, work of the young sculptor Prato Oreste Chilleri . Since September 1899
until 1918 was headmaster Paul Giorgi, a proponent of an intense propaganda nationalist and interventionist that also led to violent tensions with the city's social context, in years of World War . In the early years of the new century were teachers of the Italian Livorno Cicognini Ubaldo Angels, a friend of Severino Ferrari and Fabio Fedi, letters to the school teacher and enthusiastic supporter of secular education, as well as city councilor.
After the war the Royal College of Cicognini returned to being national boarding school, the rectors that have followed have continued the tradition (Gentileschi, Mati, D'Ascenzo, Caiazza, cylinder) from the late '90s began a major methodological innovation and Technology (Rector Enrico Fadda) and was appointed to lead the Cicognini the first woman (Anna Grace Greek). From 2004 to 2007 (Under the direction of Daniel Santagati) were carried out impressive work up to standard required by law 626/94. Today is Daniel Rector of Cicognini Santagati finally returned to Prato after the experience of the Rector of the Cristoforo Colombo in Genoa.

Following Gentile reform in 1925 the presidency of the school was separated from the rector of the boarding school and was assigned to Prato Alfredo Guarducci , mathematics professor and former mayor of the city. The grammar school was made entirely independently of the boarding school, while remaining in the same place for several decades.
In the years after World War I and fascism distinguished themselves, among professors, Sebastian Nicastro, Latin Boys Vittorio Renzo Simi and letters, while the presidency was entrusted to the historical and Italianist Fairy Joseph, best known for his studies Ariosto and thorough monograph on the boarder Gabriele D'Annunzio Cicognini.
In the second half of the century worked in the classical high school and Augustine Ammannati Cesar Grassi, who for several years edited the performing arts theater in the Cicognini amateur actor with the group of high school, as well as collaborate with Don Lorenzo Milani. The theatrical activity was resumed more recently by other teachers. In 1972

He was transferred to its new location outside the village's rich historical and cultural heritage preserved, including the 'historical archives (documents and school records from 1870 to 1972, including the records of the votes on students became famous by Gabriele D'Annunzio, Curzio Malaparte in by Mario Monicelli to Tommaso Landolfi ), the Museum of physics "(reorganized and scientifically cataloged) and the Museum of Natural History "(with the ornithological collections and mineralogical ) and a library of over 10,000 books with the collection of the Anthology Vieusseux .
In the 90s he was re-imposed the course of State High School in the boarding school and the chair was again taken by the Rector. The High School attached to Cicognini Boarding School is back in a few years to its former glory thanks to the work of excellent teachers, standing out as one of the best high schools classic Tuscan.
